Ryan has done a lot of work for me in the last couple of years. We have been very pleased with his work. A few highlights...1. A+ opinions. He would actively push back when he thought one of my ideas was bad. Sometimes that meant more work for him, sometimes that meant less. But he would only push back when it was truly not a good idea, structurally or procedurally.2. A+ attention to detail - he and his team have excellent attention to detail. In the past, in any major work I've had done, I had to do most of the hard thinking. But with Ryan, he came up with many of the good creative solutions to technical problems that inevitably arise. This reduced a lot of mental load I would have had to bear in prior jobs.3. A+ involvement. He is not a hands off general contractor. Many pieces of the work that his team did, he was working right along with them.4. A+ Honesty - he is not the least expensive option, but also not the most expensive. But most importantly, he is absolutely transparent. He stays very close to his original bid. Most of the changes in my bid was because if changes I requested.5. B+ vendor quality. The only feedback I would give him is - if he has any control on the matter, to get better vendors. Ditch the appliance guy in Millbrae and the original flooring company. On the other had, we had great experiences with the countertop company, the fixtures company, and his subcontractors were all excellent - plumbing, electrical, drywall, etc.I would hire him again for projects. Now that all the work is done, I kinda miss my banter with him.

Frequently Asked Questions

The total cost of a bathroom renovation in Montara can vary depending on the…

  • Size of the bathroom
  • Level of remodeling requested
  • Complexity of the work required
  • Quality of materials chosen

Many basic bathroom remodels cost under $15,000 to complete – some only cost a couple of thousand. However, high-end renovations or full-scale remodels can sometimes go beyond $30,000, depending on the scale and materials used.

According to Home Advisor, the average bathroom remodel in California tends to cost between $14,000 and $18,000. However, every bathroom is different, and providing a ballpark estimate requires specific knowledge of the project.

It all depends on your preferences and final vision. To get a more accurate cost estimate for your specific bathroom renovation, consult with the American Remodelers contracting team. We’ll assess your requirements, then provide a detailed quote based on your needs and the current state of your bathroom.

The duration of the average bathroom remodels can vary widely, depending on the scope of the project, the complexity of the required work, and the availability of materials. Of course, unforeseen complications may also arise during the renovation process, resulting in a delayed timeline.

When you begin a bathroom remodel with American Remodelers, we’ll provide you with a detailed estimate upfront, so you’ll fully understand the scope of work and our timeline. Some small-scale renovations may only take a few days, but full-scale remodels can sometimes take months to complete.

In California, the requirements for obtaining a permit for a bathroom remodel vary depending on the extent of the project, as well as local building codes and regulations.

Minor cosmetic changes typically don’t require a permit. However, if your bathroom remodel involves significant changes to the plumbing, electrical systems, or structural elements, you’ll likely need to acquire a permit.

You can find permit information on the City of Pacifica website. You can also call (650) 738-7341 or email permittech@pacifica.gov.

Not sure if your bathroom remodel is considered minor or major? Let’s talk. American Remodelers will help you understand the scope of your project, then walk you through the process of applying for and obtaining your permit if necessary.

This is a tricky question, and the answer depends heavily on your goals and preferences.

Do you care about improving your home’s value over time? How much do you use your bathrooms? Are you interested in keeping up with the most energy-efficient technology?

In general, we advise that most property owners update their bathrooms at least once every 10 years to preserve their value and keep up with the latest design trends. However, your frequency of remodels really depends on the condition and functionality of your bathroom, as well as your tastes and preferences.

Yes, our team is willing to set up payment plans to make the remodeling process more affordable for Pacifica property owners. Talk to us about implementing a schedule that works best for your budget and finances.

Yes, American Remodelers always provides a detailed written estimate and contract upfront. You’ll always know exactly what to expect when it comes to payments – no hidden fees or surprise charges along the way.

We get it – visions change, and opinions evolve. That’s why we stay in constant communication with all of our remodel clients. If you want to change course during a project, talk to our team. We’ll be more than happy to have a conversation about changing the plans and adjusting your project estimate.

A full bathroom remodel includes a toilet, sink, and tub. Furthermore, it tends to involve both structural and cosmetic changes, likely through demolition, plumbing/electrical work, layout changes, new fixtures and appliances, flooring changes, and more.

Of course, every project varies in scope. Reach out to American Remodelers today to learn what it will take to create your dream bathroom.

Technically no, a walk-in shower does not qualify as a full bathroom remodel. To constitute a full remodel, your project would need to also involve updating or adding a toilet, sink, and bathtub.
